The absence of illness is far from being health and certainly not holistic!

While we are allowed to feel sorry for physical illnesses, we think we should be ashamed of mental deficits, because mental illnesses are still largely taboo. To be holistically, comprehensively healthy would mean that we are, among other things, physically energetic, intact and fit, emotionally balanced, happy and content.

Even though all this is not easy, it is worthwhile if we consistently move in this direction. I have described the background and ways to holistic health in my current column in Ladies Drive magazine.
